Concert in Chinese University of Hong Kong (updated on 9 March 2003)

香港中文大學音樂會 (2003/03/09更新)

We were invited by the Office of the Arts Administrator and Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to perform in the Lee Hysan Concert Hall for the first time on 26 February 2003 (Wednesday) at 7:30pm. The Lee Hysan Concert Hall is considered the best local venue for chamber music and we can confirm that after performing there.

The programme:

  • Mozart: Oboe Quartet K.370

  • Clarence Mak: A Flow to Give, which was just world-premiered in January in our 15th Anniversary Concert

Our friends Jeff Sum, Andrew Cheung, Jean Ng and Tommy So formed the group known as "Harmonicube" and performed several trio pieces:

  • Valsentino

  • Espana Cani

  • Harmonica Dixie

  • Galloping Comedian

  • Mexican Hat Dance

  • Kiss of Fire

  • Fiddler on the Roof

We then joined hands and played Enesco's Rumanian Rhapsody No.1. The last piece of the programme is the Quintet playing Li Huan-zhi's Spring Festival Overture, but we were requested to play two encores: Gershwin's Summertime and Someone Who Watch Over Me.

    • 莫扎特:雙簧管四重奏 K.370

    • 麥偉鑄:風送暖,剛於一月份十五周年音樂會作世界首演

    • Valsentino

    • Espana Cani

    • Harmonica Dixie

    • Galloping Comedian

    • Mexican Hat Dance

此後我們聯合演出Enesco的第一號羅馬尼亞狂想曲。節目最後一首為五重奏演出李煥之的春節序曲。在觀眾要求下,我們加奏了Gershwin兩首樂曲:Summertime及Someone Who Watch Over Me。
